faq
Are the artists teaching lessons?
These sit-downs will focus on the artists' favorite licks, why they like to play them and more. The conversations may include theory & technique talk but specific repertoire will not be taught.
The artists will play any lick they share fast, slow & in the context of a tune. The licks will all be available by tab and through the recording.
It is not expected that you will learn these licks during the artists' sessions but you will have ample material to learn from and work with at your own pace from the recordings and provided tab.
Will LICKFEST Be Recorded?
Yes. The recording will be provided for viewing and download after LickFest via email. You can expect the recordings to be processed and shared within one week of the end of LickFest.
CAN I ASK QUESTIONS THROUGHOUT THE SESSION?
You can interact with other participants and ask questions via a chat box during the sessions but with only 30 minutes for each artist, we'll take one to two questions per artist.
Will Tab be Available?
Yes. Tab for all licks shown will be provided after LickFest via email. You can expect the tablature to be release within a week of the end of LickFest.
What if I show up Late or have to miss a part of the Lives?
The recordings for all sessions will be available after LickFest closes. You can expect the recordings to be processed and shared within a week of the end of LickFest.
What Platform Will the livestream be hosted on?
LickFest will be hosted on Demio, a safe, secure, and professional online event platform.
What do I need to bring to lickfest?
Since you'll be in the comfort of your own home you can make the choice to watch or learn as you listen. Have your instrument close by and ready to play if you hear something you want to work on.
We will have 10 minute screen breaks every hour. They are listed in the schedule section above.
Will all of the conversations be live?
Due to artist performance schedules there may be pre-recorded conversations shared. Any pre-recorded conversations will be labeled as such on the schedule.
Can I get a Refund if I cant make it live?
No refunds will be issued. The value of LickFest will be available through the recorded experience if you can't join live. If your plans change and you cannot make it live, don't fear - the recording and tablature will be sent out within a week following LickFest.
